“walk a mile in a hero’s socks”
- RA McTaggart
The Footsteps of those who came before us:
We commemorate the 1st Great Generation, those who voluntarily went to fight in the Great War 1914 – 1918.
“It is through what they did a hundred years ago, from where we draw our inspiration, strength, and commitment to honor both them and those Canadians who stand for these values today”
We see the values displayed by the volunteers who fought in the Great War today in the people who make up the modern military, police, fire fighters, and paramedics – they believe in service and sacrifice.
Everyone has heard the expression about walking “a mile in another person’s shoes”, sadly shoes are somewhat impractical. Socks are not.
To commemorate and honour those who serve us (past and present) we have developed a series of patent pending “Vimy” socks, that look like combat boots and the other service footwear worn by the emergency services that allow you to “walk a mile in a hero’s socks”.
A pair of these patent pending socks represent a WW1 soldier’s boot with puttee and a modern combat boot, you can now commemorate heroes past and present. The socks are durable, athletic grade socks and are comfortable for wear and valuable to collect. Just $19.99
A percentage of all sales goes to support Wounded Warriors Canada and their work.
